Cloth seats and carpet hold on to everything: red clay, spilled sweet tea, sunscreen, and sweat. Shampoo extraction pulls that grime out of the fibers instead of just cleaning the surface.
A vacuum picks up what's sitting on top. But cloth seats and carpet are more like a sponge. Spills soak in. Dirt gets ground down into the base of the fibers. Body oils and sweat build up where you sit, especially through a long Carolina summer. That's why a seat can look okay and still feel grimy, or why a carpet goes dark in the driver's footwell no matter how often you vacuum.
Shampoo extraction works the cleaning solution into the fabric and then pulls the dirty water back out. You can see the difference in the extractor's tank, and you'll feel it in the seat.
Leather seats don't get shampooed. They get cleaned and conditioned instead. Leather conditioning is included in the Elite Full Detail or available as an add-on from $40.

Shampoo extraction removes a lot, and many stains lighten a great deal or disappear. But we won't promise every stain comes out, because that isn't how fabric works.
A few things decide how well a stain comes out:
Extraction pulls out most of the water, but seats and carpet will be damp when we finish. How long they take to fully dry depends on the fabric, how much cleaning it needed, and, around here, the humidity and temperature that day. A breezy spring afternoon dries much faster than a muggy August evening.

Seat/carpet shampoo extraction is an add-on starting at $75. Carpet shampoo is already included in our Lake Wylie Refresh ($249) and above, and the LWD Signature Full Detail ($449) also includes fabric-seat extraction.
It varies with the fabric, how wet the cleaning needed to get, and the weather. Humid, still days take longer. Airflow, open windows, and sunshine all help. We'll give you drying tips before we leave.
Many stains lighten a lot or come out completely, but we can't guarantee full removal. It depends on what the stain is, how long it's been there, and the fabric. We'll look at it and give you an honest take first.

Red clay is common around here and often comes out well with extraction, especially if it's mostly surface dirt. Clay that's been ground in and stained for a long time may leave some discoloration.
Not necessarily. We need access to the vehicle and room to work around it. You are welcome to leave us the keys and go about your day, and we will let you know when we are finished.
